Westech began in 1979 as Engineered Profiles Ltd. and
at that time extruded custom shapes for the
window and door industry. In 1983 the first fully welded
casement system was designed and offered to window
fabricators in 1984. As the market conditions
dictated new systems were added to meet the growing
demands for a maintenance free, energy efficient, vinyl
window. In 1997 vinyl fencing was added under the name
Westech Building Products, a producer of vinyl fence, deck
and rail components.
Westech has developed unique product lines that have
become the benchmark of the fence industry. Both
companies now operate under the Westech banner as
member of the Westlake Chemical Corporation group of
companies.
